Colleen and Tom

Mendenhall Inn

Mendenhall, PA

Be still my heart. What a way to end the 2021 season. All on November and December I’m reading about all of my photographer friends being slowing down and getting to enjoy the end of the year and I’m not going to lie - part of me was envious. But the other half of me knew the greatness that was coming my way to wrap up the season. Colleen and Tom are amazing people individually and such a blast when they are blended together. Then add in the amazing wedding party and friends and family. It was such a feel good wedding. Rain in the forecast that stopped just before pictures started, a certain plaid pants lady who was a see you next Tuesday, a beautiful church ceremony as the sun set, and a reception filled with a shit ton of dancing and throwbacks. It was everything you could ask for.

For those of you who haven’t had to plan a wedding during a pandemic, let me just tell you - it’s not fun. I don’t envy any of my brides trying to navigate it. But the grace Colleen had through our communications leading up to the day was very humbling. As her guest list dwindled down and her Honeymoon in limbo she was so calm about it all. But what else can you do? It was a solid reminder that it’s way more important how you react to a situation versus the situation itself. Thank you both for being so open, willing, humble, and fun! And special thank you to the bottom of your dress who took a well-worth-it beating. Also, side note to the geese… you’re not supposed to be in PA in December and we really could have done without you.

Enjoy their wedding!
