Claire and Nick

Riverhouse at Odettes

New Hope, PA

A little wedding history lesson for you. In 2018 I was still growing and learning. In 2019 I swear to you it rained every single wedding I had. In 2020… well we all know what happened there. And now 2021 has either been the hottest day - or a rain mixture. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good over cast sky, but a note to Mother Nature: Can I please have a dry ground every once in a while? Bless the beautiful brides who still let me do my thing and trust my judgment and get their dress a little dirty. Sorry to the Moms standing of to the side clutching onto whatever they can as they watch their bride toss their dress down on wet ground. I’m curious to see what 2022 will bring, but that can wait because today I’m here to talk about Claire and Nick.

Step one to planning a beautiful wedding: Be Claire and Nick. Do what they did. Nothing was over the top, yet everything was absolutely stunning. I used to ask brides to show me a picture of their dress so I could OOOooo and AAAaahhh over it but now I like to be just as surprised on the wedding day as their person. Let me tell you Claire’s dress did not disappoint. Sleeve for December just makes sense but luckily we were blessed with a warm day (sorry global warming but we did enjoy not being freezing). Then we have her custom wedding band making me have all the regerts. Yes I know I spelled that wrong #noregerts. Claire also found her invitations through me and another bride I posted. I Do Invitations does such a pristine job *chef’s kiss.

Let’s be honest though. The dress and the shoes (which were also incredible), and the rings and flowers - that’s not what a wedding is about. Stick to the roots ya’ll. Celebrate your love and throw a banger with the people you love most. And that is EXACTLY what Claire and Nick did. All day there were little things happening that could have set someone off and all day they both continued to just shrug it off which is exactly how you should feel. I can’t say enough about their beautiful friends and family who waved and smiled as me like I was one of them. The amount of just pure love and joy that was inside the walls of Odette’s Riverhouse I will NEVER forget. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it!

Enjoy their wedding.
