So what happens if you or your spouse is active duty and you aren’t stationed near where you’re getting married? You can’t meet you photographer before your wedding day. You can get to know each other at your engagement session. You have to try to be yourself around a complete stranger. What happens? How do you still get pictures back that represent your relationship?
Answer: You literally show up and just be yourself.
Do these other things help? Yeah! Of course they do. But are they a no holds requirement to get back pictures filled with your love? 100% Nope!
I met both Kati and Rick on their wedding day and when you enjoy this little glimpse into their day, let me know if you can tell. Kati is so genuine down to her core and open about how she’s feeling which is exactly what I need from people I don’t have a full read on. My first formal “hello” to Rick was through the shuttle window and he jumped off that bus, let me grab his arm, and let me blindly lead him to his first look. Bless the trust ya’ll.
The amount of fun I had at this wedding and the fact that two people with the most delightful sense of humor found me so we could laugh all day together is *chef’s kiss! I would photograph these two all day any day if they are eve back in the area. After looking at their engagement session from their current home - am I a little jealous that I didn’t get to shoot with a plane - heck yes. To Kati and Rick, just know that I like planes and shooting new locations! I hope to cross paths again!
