Emily and Drew
Engagement Session
Green Lane Park, PA
If you’ve been following along on social media then you already know I spend so much of my time at Green Lane Park for smaller sessions. Now, don’t get me wrong - I loooooovvvveeeee this park. It has so much to offer and you can always find a quiet space away from everyone. I know the lighting like the back of my hand and when to be where which is fun, but it gets old. Emily and Drew staked that up for me though.
After seeing another couple of mind hop in the water they decided they were down for it too! Unprompted by me too which is even more fun! I was wrapping up what I thought was the end of their session and asked if they had any ideas and Emily said, “I like the ones you just did in the water” and my jaw hit the floor. I love that not only she follows and supports me, but was willing to do something out of the ordinary too? Sign me up! Drew’s thoughts on this you ask? “Sure! Whatever you want”. Like come on.
So while in the water we were chatting about backup clothes which is when it clicked in my head that they brought along another outfit to photograph in! Well… sort of. Drew only had this one pair of pants but he rocked them soaking wet for his second look too. I call it dark khaki. And when it came time to get close together I warned Emily that her pants might get a little wet and she laughed and told em they already were.
This is it people. This is what it looks like when you trust your photographer. I loved every minute of their session and I’m so excited for their wedding. I just have to let you in on a little secret before I dump these beautiful shots on you. I - a creative and pisces - have two distinct parts of my brain… The self explanatory creative part // and the give a shit part. When you question everything about you self or posing or background or whatever else you want to manage as a client, my give a shit part kicks in. I want to reassure you, make sure you’re comfortable, gas you up, etc. That means my creative side can’t do its thing. When you are all in though, my creative side gets to amp up and have it’s fun. So just let go of everything and have fun with your session!
