Kaity and Taylor

The Reeds

Stone Harbor, NJ

I feel like I have become such a beach babe this year. I’m typically a lake girl but after all my sessions and weddings done the shore I think I’m being converted into a sand loving girly. Especially after a wedding like Kaity and Taylors - I mean how could I not be?

While we may have all melted a little and Kaity ended the day with the cutest tan line from her dress, this day was just pure magic. Every time I’m down at the Reeds I’m reminded how much I love intimate spaces and a close gathering of people. It was really endearing to look around the wedding and not see groups of two people scattered everywhere like wall flies but larger groups who were all there to celebrate Kaity and Taylor. There is something to be said about a gathering of people that are so welcoming it oozes out of them. All day I remember looking around and realizing I couldn’t tell who came with who and which family belonged to Kaity versus Taylor and I love that!

On to the actual style of the wedding. Chef’s Kiss. Kaity and the team with The Local Look did such a good job matching the DIY elements to the vendor provided ideas. I also may never get over a full gown moment on the beach. Like are you kidding me!? It’s not the typical pairing for the scene but if there is ever a trend to be set, this is it. The juxtaposition of it all and then adding in miss matched dresses for the girls was truly flawless. I will happily photograph this day again and again - maybe with a little less heat next time.

Enjoy a little peek into this beautiful wedding at The Reeds at Shelter Haven.
