Kerri & Joe

Can we just talk about what might have been the biggest upset of my 2023 season? And I only have myself to blame. Story time - Kerri reached out to me in the height of busy season last year. Anything from September to November is just incredibly busy for me and to top it off, I also traveled for a week amidst it all. So here I am, trying to keep my business afloat and not fall behind on emails and really just keeping my head above the water. They decide they want to book with me (YAY!! Insert happy shimmy every time) and we move forward with their booking. I come home from my trip and start getting all my ducks back in a row and my heart fucking falls to the ground. I am putting their date into my master sheet and realize I made the biggest fuck up. I double booked myself. I email Kerri with my tail between my legs and own my mistake and offer a full refund and help in finding a replacement for myself. I loved conversing with this couple and knew I fucked up and just wanted to do everything I could to help them have the best day ever. Then what does this saint of a human do?! She says, “people are human - it’s upsetting, but it’s okay. And we don’t want to fire you”. I shook. The grace of this couple is beyond me.

Needless to say, they moved forward with an Associate photographer and I knew Kristy would be perfect for them because we are basically one in the same. After their Brooklyn Engagement session and seeing the way our personalities vibed together I was positive Kristy would be the best match for them and I was right! While I’m 100% jealous of the fact that Kristy got to hang out with Kerri and Joe all day, I am also elated that I got to live their day vicariously through the pictures.

Kerri and Joe, I cannot wait to see you again (and I know I will - in Feb at your bestie’s wedding) and I wish you only the best of things in live. Your love is so fun to be a part of and anyone who knows you is lucky to call either of you a friend. Thank you for letting my team be a part of your beautiful wedding day. <3
