I don’t know which weather Gods Marissa and Austin prayed to but I need their number. When It comes to wedding days there is nothing worse that planning an outdoor ceremony and then having a storm linger directly over your ceremony time. I can speak to this personally because my own wedding almost got rained out and the only thing I really cared about was getting married outside. Luckily for me my venue was incredibly accommodating and let me have my cocktail hour first so the storm could pass. Luckily for Marissa and Austin, however, the storm came and went in their hide away time prior to their ceremony. Shout out to Brandywine Manor House for going out to clean off all the chairs for the guests so the ceremony could still happen outside!

Another shout out to Austin for letting us grad him all around the venue to get the shots we planned and to Marissa’s feet for trekking through every ground texture there is. If there’s anything I’m an advocate for on your wedding day, it is literally you. At the end of the ceremony Marissa looked over and said “I can’t wait to take off these shoes”. “So do it”, I replied. Fuck it. If there is something on your wedding day that you have the power to change, do it! Take off the shoes. Walk barefoot in the grass. Get your dress a little dirty. Eat a snack. Run around and have fun. Literally do it all! Do all the things you want to on your wedding day and let me follow you around capturing it.
