Navy Yard Engagement Session

You know it’s going to be a good day when we start your session with a kitty baby! Hanna posted a picture of her little fur baby on Instagram and knowing that we were going shooting in Philly I asked to meet Meatball! Such a friendly kitty! For those of you who have ever been to my house, you know those two words don’t usually go hand in hand. #meankitty Also, can we just talk about their amazing private roof area? It reminded me so much of my drunken nights with old friends that I will never forget! Talk about nostalgic.

When we were chatting locations Hanna suggested we try out the Navy Yard. You guys - I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to get there. I think my brain through it was behind a fence and I would need some sort of Government clearance to get in. I actually have a pretty high clearance as is since I worked with a R&D Naval company years ago - but that just goes to show you how much I learned there. Spoiler alert - I learned how to play Tetris and watch Hulu at the same time while getting paid for it. After some very minimal research and a few unanswered phone call attempts we said fuck it and on we went!

SOMEONE TAKE ME BACK! It was so pretty!! Take me back on a cloudy day though because that sun and water combo is unforgiving. Another blessing that haze is trendy right now so I just rolled with it. I’d also like to give a special shout out to Hanna and Steve for being so much fun to hang out and eat pizza with! Thank you for welcoming me into your home, and car, and dinner, and feeding me delightful sour beers. PS everyone - Sour beers are the way to my heart.
