Glen Ellen Farm Wedding

I love my job. I love that I get to turn connections made in high school into beautiful wedding images! I met Sunshine (aka Lauren - a badass IVF mama @journey2moomhood) through cheerleading in high school! Fun Fact - I also played rugby (captain… sup) and soccer! Leigh I met when she was a peanut as Sunshine’s younger sister and it was so fun to find out she got engaged! My first though was pure joy - my second thought was the realization that I’m getting old. It’s just not a friendly reminder of 1) how long ago high school was and 2) how younger siblings of my friends are now getting married. Another fun fact: in 2021 I have a wedding of a beautiful woman who I gave swim lessons to in summer camp… yeah… I didn’t think I was that old either!

Leigh and Doug were so much fun and so easy to photography. She made an absolutely stunning bride and he was just so go with the flow - even though in the back of Doug’s head I’m sure he thought I was batty. I cannot begin to express to you how shook I was with Doug throughout their day. Not to discredit Leigh at all and all her humble and sweet glory - but knowing her enjoyable and comical family, I knew what I was getting into. I thought I had a good read on Doug as well from their engagement session but he was a whole different person on his wedding day and it was magical. First he blew everyone away with his vows - so sweet and endearing and followed by a hypothetical mic drop. Then (I think) Celine Dion came on and this angle baby of a groom was floating through the air with his head thrown back and arms out wide just a whole vibe. And I was 100% here for it.

Their wedding at Glen Ellen Farm was simply perfection. Glen Ellen has so much to offer as a venue from their cottage, to their sweeping overgrown field, to their impossibly perfect little wildflower garden nestled behind the old farm ruins. I used to describe Sunshine’s wedding venue as a Pinterest dream and Leigh chose an equally magical location to tie the knot. Forest and Logan - You gentleman have some tough acts to follow!

Thank you Leigh and Doug for having me at your wedding and dragging me and the rest of PA down to experience the beauty of your day!
